People are very tired of quarantine measures and need to work, to get their regular health treatment, to go to beauty saloons after all. Businesses and countries’ economies suffer much from each day of the quarantine. So governments are very keen on easing the restrictions. From the other side, easing the restrictions means more contacts among people and inevitably new coronavirus cases. So the tradeoff for governments is how fast they can loosen the restrictions and not to provoke a surge of new COVID-19 cases. Another balancing factor is the number of hospital beds and infrastructure prepared and used for the coronavirus cases. That is why we don’t see any significant decrease in number of new daily cases in many countries.
So, remember that loosening the restrictions is a necessity and not the result of the victory over the coronavirus. So, when you go out to some place which is declared open now, be aware that the next day will bring a new number of COVID cases. Try not to become one of them.
